Meet the Owner
Meet Jennifer Dale, the owner and winemaker at Little Red Wagon.
Although any business requires a lot of work and help from others, Jen is the one that makes it all happen. Not one to be put in a box, she’s also an artist, a mom to four, resident vineyard expert, and a big dreamer. Though she prefers to be behind the scenes, it is so important to recognize her accomplishment of being one of only a few women winemakers in Quebec.
Little Red Wagon Winery was a dream that started in 2010. Jen, with her husband, Scott, planted their first 500 vines not quite knowing what they were getting themselves into! Those of you who have been around since the beginning understand what a crazy time it’s been in the 15 years since we’ve started.
The winery opened in 2017 with our 2016 premiere vendage. We have steadily improved upon and experimented with our wines, now having a variety of products with something for everyone.
Today…
We have planted over 6800 vines on our 6 acres of farmland. Jen and Scott have always been farmers first, and take great pride in the land and wine they produce. From soil to glass, every step of the process is as important as the last.
Our winery is many things as well. Not only a tasting room where you can try our artisanal wines, we have a small food menu to pair with your favourite glass, great concerts throughout the year to enjoy the space, and many other events and fun to look forward to.
Although our kids are all grown up now, they have been an integral part to the journey. They are still often around, so if you see Emma, April, Isaac, or Sam, don’t feel shy to say hi!
We hope to see you at the winery soon so you too can enjoy the fruits of our labour, and of course, some wine!
